Germantown Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school located on a beautiful 126-acre campus in the Fort Washington suburbs near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Position Purpose: The Upper School Debate Coach serves as the primary guide for GA’s Debate Team. The coach is responsible for facilitating student attendance at debate tournaments, for assisting students in training for debate events, and for overseeing the general welfare of the team. Experience in debate is preferred but not required, and the school will support training for program coaches. The Debate team meets during Flex periods on Day 1 (approx. 25 minute class period every 7 day rotation), plus for additional training sessions (as scheduled) during lunch and after school. Historically, GA has participated in up to 12 tournaments, on Wednesdays and on Saturdays, throughout the year. Compensation is $8000 for September through June.
